ist eine der besten songs von "The Saturdays"! video ist ganz gut^^ sean paul passt irgendwie nicht so hin... die "solo" version finde ich viel besser! 5.5* --->5* im moment kann ich noch nicht eine 6* vergeben... Last edited: 01.04.2013 13:24
*** So 5 years later and The Saturdays finally get a #1. Sympathy? Low competition? or just a great song? Don't know but for me it's very generic and would have liked JT to have stayed on top. Still think they are a very boring girlgroup who just seem to be there without making an impression. However at least now the jokes about their desperation for a hit can stop.
4 weeks UK top 10. 16 weeks in the UK top 100. 114,000 copies sold while #1. Sean Paul's second UK#1.
UK#1 (1 week) and Ireland#6.
European Hot 100#3.
400,000 copies sold in the UK.
The biggest selling girlband single of 2013 in the UK.
**** I still think the chorus could be a lot better all around but it deserves that 4th star, I really do like the verses a lot and it succeeds as a catchy summer song. Sean Paul is a good fit but I kind of feel like Fuse would've been better! Not #1 material but I do think it's nice that they were able to get themselves a #1 after so long, I wish I could remember their interview (or I might've missed that week, I'm not sure). This would fit at like #8 on the hypothetical list of my favourite Saturdays singles.
Also I'm noting here that it only spent 1 week at #1, because every time I see jinx's review I believe it :P Last edited: 28.07.2014 17:17
*** Heard it countless times but still find it incredibly unmemorable for a #1, let alone a 272 week #1. I choose to believe that it primarily got there because there seems to be an illuminati Sean Paul alliance set to pretend that 2007-2010 never happened and that he's still as big as ever, in the UK at least. Sadly they're succeeding. 2.6 Last edited: 28.07.2014 18:46
****** The Saturdays have a reputation to pull out the generic card as they had done with "All Fired Up" and "30 Days" which I have no problem with. At least this tries to make itself interesting by having a more carefree and laid-back atmosphere about it. The "na na na"s in the post-chorus are just SO catchy [s]and stray from a monotonous note! :D #allfiredup[/s] and the chorus just seems to flow really well which makes it actually sound like they are going to be "better together". It is of course great to see them get a UK #1 after so long and I'm glad it's this one and not, say, "Notorious" or one of their more ratchet ones I don't exactly remember off the top of my head. Not my favourite from them though. Last edited: 14.11.2014 16:32
