*****
sehr gut
*****
*****
Lockeres Liedchen zum Mitwippen. Gefällt mir besser als Lola
*****
Schöner Rhythmus, tolle Melodie.
*****
... come on dancing Ray Davies - it's your 60th birthday today !!!
****
*
Gib viel besseres von den Kinks
*****
fröhlich, lustig, gut. knappe 5
*****
Kinks' comeback song. I like especially the videoclip.
***
Knappe Drei, vielleicht der schlechtste Song der Kinks überhaupt.
*****
knapppe 5 - ist irgendwie noch speziell
****
netter Gute-Laune-Song
*
Last edited: 27.06.2017 17:12
*****
*****
▓ Het laatste succesje in Holland hadden "The Kinks" in mei 1983 !!! Maar helemaal niet verkeerd hoor !!! Nog net 5 sterren van mij persoonlijk !!! (NL Top 40: 4 wk / # 25) !!!
***

4++
*****
Sehr gelungener Titel der Kinks.
***

gut
****
Erinnert mich irgendwie an Eddy Grant.
*****
Feines Lied

aufgestelltes Pop(rock)-Lied aus 1983 – 4*...erinnert mich vom Lebensgefühl her etwas an Surfin’ USA…
******
Leuke comeback single van The Kinks. Laatste echte muzikale wapenfeit.
*****
this is actually a really good song! quite different to anything else i've heard from the kinks...tbh i didn't realise they released more music in the 1980's
****
****
....was für eine fröhliche Aufforderung....
****
***
Peaked at #36 in Australia, 1983.
******
... ebenso gut von 1983: Don't Forget To Dance
******
*****
Sehr gelungen, geradezu genial und wie ein Vorgriff auf zwei Jahre später: Walk Of Life der Dire Straits!

Guter Song zum Mitwippen, nettes Synthie-Motiv
******
"After Midnight I could see them / two Silhouettes saying Good Night at Garden Gate"... Toller Synthi-Einsatz, treibende Akustikgitarre, lakonischer Gesang, am Schluß fette Bläsersätze. Ein Highlight der späten "Kinks" aus der LP "State of Confusion" (1983), genauso schön wie die Winterballade "Don't forget to Dance" :- )
6++

sehr schön, klang damals schon nostalgisch
****
*****
****
****
Ordentliche Comeback-Produktion, aber bei weitem nicht der Höhepunkt von "State of Confusion".
****
Mittelmässig.
****
Ganz okay, erinnert mich ein wenig an Surfin' USA.
****
...gut...
***
Nice track themed on the memories of a sister going to the local dance hall. Reportedly a tribute song to Ray and Dave Davies' sister.
Memorable song and the classic rock style is produced well. 3.3*
#6 peak USA, 1983; #12 peak UK.
⌜ᴰᴬ⌝ Ꮲk.⌠#32⌡
**
Alberner Rummelplatz-Soundtrack.
****
******
Ich finde den Song großartig.
****
Solides Spätwerk von The Kinks.
******
***
ziemlich gruseliges Synthi-Verbrechen der 80er.
Kommt direkt nach Stevie Wonders "I Just Called To Say I Love You" und Tacos "Puttin' On The Ritz".
Aufgerundete 2,5...
****
At this point in time it added some variety in the Charts - The Song actually is pretty easy and not that bad
***
4+
***
Gibt mir nicht viel diese Richtung. Mit der künstlichen Kirmesorgel im Boogie Takt. Gute 3*
****
Radiosong. Passte in die Zeit.
***
Zu langweilig.
