*** It's a pretty average album that was only really made to cash in on the Christmas season. I do however appreciate the way that they make it seem as if it was live, despite being studio recordings.<br>
**** Brian was working on "Pet Sounds" when Capitol Records was pushing for a new album by the group, and Brian knew full well that he's new project would not be completed by the companies deadline....so he came up with the idea of a "Beach Boys" party with friends, wives/girlfriends in the studio. So over two nights of songs, liquor & funny cigarettes the group & friends recorded over thirty tracks...the best of them put together and rush-released too please Capitol's crazy demands of the group. Quite possibly the first unplugged album ever; anyways it's a fun, upbeat and occasionally amusing record (they take the piss out of themselves)....the standout track and massive hit "Babara Ann" is easily the best thing here.
