Find ich vor allem Musikalisch sehr gut. Der Aufbau im Refrain ist grossartig. Aber auch Textuel (wie immer bei Soft Cell) wiederum beeindruckend. "Why do you hate me so much? What have I ever done to you but leave you?"

Marc als elektronische 60s Diva gefolgt von Gerüchten, Reportern - klingt bekannt - aber Soft Cell verstanden es, die Hysterie immer in schöne Pop-Songs zu packen.

Als man Marc Almond einst auf den modernen und wegweisenden Sound von Soft Cell ansprach, meinte er, "wir sind eigentlich nicht wirklich derart zukunftsorientiert, denn wir hören uns gerne den Sound der 60er an." Wo er Recht hatte. Nicht nur mit der Coverversion von "Tainted Love" (ebenfalls aus den 60ern), sondern auch mit diesem Song zaubert Soft Cell einen gelungenen Retrotrack hin, fast schon etwas mit Motown-Feeling.
