When I started listening to this, I didn't know what I was getting myself in to, but if the album title was anything to go by, maybe the final result should have been expected.

The heavy British accent is very prominent right from the beginning, and I will admit that it is quite jarring on first listen. Whether you find their accents charming and sense of humour funny will pretty much determine whether this album is for you or not. So if the first few songs don't do much for you, there probably won't be anything for you here.

Much of this actually reminds me of how many people would imagine a stereotypical Cockney Englishman to be, especially with their sense of humour and mannerisms.

As for the music, to me, many of the instrumentals start with promise, but are then spoiled by the vocals. In saying that though, if you can ignore the accents, there's a fair bit to enjoy here.

Perhaps I'm being a bit too harsh on the voice though, because every now-and-again, there are certainly some funny moments to be had, such as the hilariously angry way he says the word "moptop" at the end of the song with the same name. I will admit the voice warmed on me with subsequent listens.

This album is something I'd imagine that would go off at singalongs at British pubs, but that definitely isn't my scene, so I'm fine to admit that this album does nothing for me whatsoever.

The album name is fitting at the very least, as we get a variety of sounds and a variety in lyrical content - but this also means the album is a bit messy as well. And even with this variation, it almost feels that if you've heard one song, you've heard them all, and I largely put that down to the vocal delivery.

P.S. They mention bears in two consecutive songs!

FAV TRACKS: MOPTOP, CARLTON TOUTS, I FEEL SO WRONG

LEAST FAV TRACK: TIME SANDS

5/10
