**** The combination of vocals between Pink and Wrabel, who was previously unknown to me, works very well, both when they're singing together, or separately. Wrabel's second verse is more impressive than Pink's first; his vocal gives more of a sense of sadness to the lyrics, and when Pink joins him for the pre-chorus and the pace picks up it feels like real desperation coming through. That pre-chorus is the standout moment of the song for sure. The lyrics are also very well-written, telling the story of a dying relationship that both parties want to keep alive but don't know how to. Plus they reference "Fast Car" which is a fantastic song that deserves more recognition, as long as we're talking about the original. |
