**** Though I find Lady Antebellum to be at their strongest when both Hillary and Charles share vocal duties, I was quickly taken by this Hillary-led track. It's a gorgeous song, detailing a relationship where one person can see that the other is struggling and wants to help, but isn't being let in. The lyrics are very touching, and the piano is the perfect choice, adding incredibly to the moodiness of the track. Hillary's vocal is fantastic of course, especially towards the end of the second verse and through the second chorus, where she's really selling the sadness. Charles provides excellent backing vocals; as usual their voices together are wonderful. This is lovely. |
