**** I feel quite sorry for Lady Antebellum. They're talented, but they've had their one massive hit and have struggled to follow up with anything substantial. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed most of their singles since then, but I find myself constantly comparing to 'Need You Now'. However, I like that, at least they haven't gone and emulated that with this album. There's no real piano driven pop, instead preferring to go with slow guitars or in some cases, banjos. It's a nice listen, but unfortunately it all blends into one with nothing standing out, although One Great Mystery and Damn You Seventeen are the two tracks I enjoyed the most. Not bad. 3.8/6. |
