***** I am thou. Thou art I...
Thou hast acquired a new vow,

It shall becomes the wings of rebellion
that breaketh thy chains of captivity.

With the birth of the Saturation Persona,
I have obtained the winds of blessing that
shall lead to freedom and new power...

What I'm trying to say to be more clear is that this was my introduction, more or less to BROCKHAMPTON. This being track 1 on "SATURATION II" which I listened to out of heightened curiosity, completely devoid of the context brought about by their cult of personality that nowadays dominates the conversation around their music. What I was greeted to was a posse cut filled with a range of new voices (although it felt like much more than it was). What stood out the most to me, aside from how immensely catchy it all was, was that squealing g-funk synth line that comes in and out of this track. When I'm keen for a quick dose of BROCKHAMPTON, this song is one of the first I'll go to.
